Bahamas

Nassau StudentsThis is my third year of teaching at the Islands. The weather and the sourrundings are colorful and life is vibrant. Bahamians are very hospitable people. I enjoy the policentric aspect of their society, and so class participation and a collaborative environment involve us in active learning - somewhat different than my experience in the US, where most of my students tend to be more individualistics in nature.

I concentrate primarily on information systems management and enjoy the work on e-business processes and School of Business and Entrepreneurshipvulnerabilities of transactions sytems. Currently I am writing a chapter on this topic for publication. If you are expert on this topic don't hesitate to contact me via Linkedin. You can follow the white papers and resource from the community.zdnet.co.uk at http://community.zdnet.co.uk

Sacsayhuaman Chinchero

These series of images is the result of a trip to Ollanta in a Sunday afternoon in middle of winter in the southern hemisphere, some fifty miles from Cusco city in the Andes of Peru. This is the time of the year were farmers gather the seeds and prepare the ground for sowing. Reddish tones of land and mud are the brush of the symetric fields abroad.

Chinchero was found in the middle of the most beautiful campiñas, with the objective to serve the Inca Tupac Yupanki with a place to rest.

ArequipaArequipa, also known as the Ciudad Blanca. Arequipa (2,350 m.a.s.l.), is the capital of the department of the same name. It is a beautiful city of mansions, temples and convents built out of 'sillar' - a material of solidified volcanic rock -, and distinguished by a unique architectural style. Arequipa is surrounded by magical countryside giving it a refreshing, bucolic air.

Arequipa is known by its highest volcanos in South America. The Misti (5.825 msnm) the most emblematic of Arequipa

ChontaAmazonasAmazonas

A view of the rain forest near the Nanay river, half and hour from the small town of Iquitos in the heart of the Amazonas. The river was low in August, but the wather was perfect- a lots of ants, few mosquitos- the rainy season starts in December in Peru by the way.

Take a look of some photos- see me having dinner with "Chonta" at the Sinchicuy lodge.

The Misterious Nazca Lines
Nazca Lines

Here is an aerial view of the "Colibri", one of the many Nazca lines embedded on the dry sandi surface of Nazca. These impressive graphics carved on the sand surface are the remains of the Nazca Culture. Located on the Nazca desert in the south of Peru, the markings runs over the Pan American Higway, near the Pacific ocean.
